New York, November 11, 2014. Haymarket Media is excited to announce the launch of NeurologyAdvisor.com, a new digital resource for healthcare professionals who treat neurological disorders.
NeurologyAdvisor.com is designed to provide practical, actionable information, and resources to assist clinicians in making the right decisions for patients affected by diseases and disorders of the brain, the central and peripheral nervous systems, and the circulatory system that supports them.
Key features include: daily neurology news, drug monographs, full-length clinical features, unique case studies, clinical charts, continuing medical education (CME) courses, and coverage from major neurology conferences.
“Our goal is to provide clinicians—neurologists, primary care physicians, n[1] urse practitioners and physician assistants, who treat patients affected by neurological disorders—with the latest relevant clinical information and treatment strategies to ensure exceptional patient care,” said Jim Burke, RPh, SVP, Digital Products at Haymarket Media.
Members of Neurology Advisor‘s editorial board, who provide guidance and who will be regular contributors, include:
● Bradford C. Dickerson, MD, an associate professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School and the Tom Rickles Endowed Chair in Aphasia Research at Massachusetts General Hospital, both in Boston. Dickerson is a behavioral neurologist and cognitive neuroscientist and uses neuroimaging to study brain anatomy, function, and molecular composition in aging and neurodegenerative diseases.
● Ruben Kuzniecky, MD, a professor of neurology at New York University School of Medicine, co-director of the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, and the director of epilepsy research at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City. Kuzniecky is also a co-principal investigator of the Epilepsy Phenome Genome Project and a co-principal investigator of the Human Epilepsy Project.
● Benjamin Walter, MD, assistant professor of neurology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, medical director of the Deep Brain Stimulation Program at UH Case Medical Center, and director of the Movement Disorder Center at University Hospitals, all in Cleveland, Ohio.
● Albert S. Favate, MD, assistant professor of neurology at New York University School of Medicine, and the division chief of the Vascular Neurology Department and Stroke Care Center at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City.
NeurologyAdvisor.com is mobile-optimized and will also be released as a native app for Apple iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) and Android devices in the coming days.
The Neurology Advisor website and app are the third in a series of new digital resources Haymarket Media will launch for healthcare providers as part of its Advisor Network, building on the success of The Clinical Advisor and Cancer Therapy Advisor brands. It follows Psychiatry Advisor‘s debut in July 2014, and Endocrinology Advisor‘s launch in September 2014.
