Medical Bag Takes a New Approach to Engaging the Healthcare Professional

NEW YORK, September 27, 2016—Medical Bag—the newest digital asset in Haymarket Medical Network (HMN) centering on medicine, lifestyle,  and practice management—has been converted to Haymarket’s Proprietary Content Management System.  With this, medicalbag.com will provide more enhanced functionality and offer more content for the healthcare professional on their practice, finances, and personal life.

Medical Bag is an online space that reviews the economics of the medical business, such as best practices, investing, industry pressures, and other issues that directly affect an HCP’s business and quality of life.  The website will also generate applicable and engaging content, covering topics including fitness and health, original medical humor, technology, up-to-date medical news, and global health.

Jim Burke, SVP of Digital Products, expresses his hopes for the newest addition to HMN by stating, “We are excited about this platform—a new direction for us that is away from the clinical approach. We see Medical Bag increasing our reach across a variety of touch points and assisting healthcare professionals to enhance their practice and lifestyle.”

Haymarket is optimistic about relaunching a digital brand that is more lifestyle and business-focused for the healthcare practitioner.  With an editorial promise to offer beneficial content “by doctors, for doctors,” this brand takes a fresh approach to providing news for the more wholesome clinician.

Haymarket Oncology and the Oncology Nursing Society Join Forces on the 2017 ONA Navigation Summit

NEW YORK, September 1, 2016—Haymarket Media Inc. and Haymarket Oncology, publishers of Oncology Nurse Advisor (ONA), and the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) have joined forces to conduct the 3rd annual ONA Navigation Summit, to be held in June 2017.

The ONA Navigation Summit will bring together leading experts from across the cancer care community to share first-hand experiences and knowledge regarding issues that affect oncology nurse navigators and care coordinators.

Summit participants include patient navigators, nurse navigators, oncology nurse navigators, patient advocates, care coordinators, and other health care professionals interested in oncology navigation. The Summit sessions and exhibit hall will provide the opportunity to connect one-on-one with oncology health care professionals from across the United States.

Chad Holloway, Group Publisher at Haymarket Oncology, stated, “ONA is extremely excited and pleased to be collaborating with the ONS, the leading professional organization for oncology nurses and advanced practitioners, on the 2017 Navigation Summit. The collaborative effort on the 3rd annual Navigation Summit will offer attendees a unique learning experience and will provide sponsors and exhibitors the opportunity to deliver educational messaging within a context of credibility, all with the ultimate goal of advancing the role of oncology nurse navigation and care coordination.”

“Nurse navigation is one critical way in which care coordination is being delivered for patients with cancer,” said Brenda Nevidjon, MSN, RN, FAAN, ONS chief executive officer. “Nurse navigators work directly with patients and caregivers to provide education and resources for more informed decision-making, and facilitate access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout the cancer continuum. A partnership such as this allows ONS and Haymarket to offer the most current information for effective navigation, as well as educational and networking opportunities, not only to our members, but anyone working in the capacity as an oncology nurse navigator.”

ONS is a professional association of more than 39,000 members committed to advancing excellence in oncology nursing and the transformation of cancer care. Since 1975, ONS has provided a professional community for oncology nurses, developed evidence-based education programs and treatment information, and advocated for patient care—all in an effort to improve quality of life and outcomes for patients with cancer and their families. Haymarket Recipient of CMI’s 2016 Supplier Excellence Award for Performance

NEW YORK, August 23, 2016—Haymarket has been named the winner of CMI’s 2016 Supplier Excellence Award in the Performance category.  The Supplier Excellence Award honors exemplary efforts by publisher partners and recognizes hard work in response to ever-changing media dynamics, demands, requirements, and client needs.  The evaluation criteria for this award include suppliers who had greater than 20 HCP campaigns, an overall viewability average of greater than 50% for the year, and less than 10% variance in viewability month over month.

For more than thirty years, Haymarket Medical Network brands have provided HCPs with the latest relevant and actionable clinical information and treatment strategies to ensure exceptional patient care.  Today, more than 2 million HCPs engage with the Haymarket Medical Network brands via digital, print, email, live events, and mobile platforms.  This breadth of connectivity provides medical marketers with the opportunity to interact with these important prescribers and influencers within a trusted environment.

In order to ensure the optimal connection between the HCP audience and our sponsors, Haymarket has invested significant resources over the past two years to enhance viewability on the Haymarket Medical Network sites.  This includes site redesign and optimization, technology and content investments, and talent acquisition—all of which have paid off in significant viewability improvements.  The Haymarket Medical Network sites now deliver viewability at—or above—client-required standards consistently and are often the best performing brands among our competitive set.

“Haymarket is committed to being the best in the market, and we will continue to invest in the people, content, and technologies to maintain our leadership position with regard to connecting our sponsors and advertisers with their target HCP audiences.  We are honored to be recognized by CMI for providing their clients with effective marketing programs that deliver results,” said John Pal, SVP, Medical Communications, Haymarket Media, Inc.
