Stronger Than Ever, The Clinical Advisor Expands Its Reach and Remains Largest in NP/PA Market

NEW YORK, November 3, 2015 â€” In keeping with the pace of the expanding presence of nurse practitioners (NP) and physician assistants (PAs) in the healthcare marketplace, Haymarket Media, Inc. will increase the circulation of The Clinical Advisor —the market leader for this professional clinical audience— to 140,000 total NPs and PAs, effective December 2015.

The Clinical Advisor is the trusted solution that NPs and PAs rely upon to meet their diverse informational needs. Available through multiple channels—print, digital (web, mobile, native app, email), and live events—The Clinical Advisor has kept clinicians in touch and in tune with health information for more than 18 years by providing engaging news, feature articles, and commentary from thought leaders to inform and instruct.

Expanding its reach by 5% with a total of 6,900 additional clinicians, The Clinical Advisor will maintain the largest circulation of any NP/PA publication.  According to a 2015 Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Readership Study, The Clinical Advisor continues its ranking as #1 in both readers and ad exposures.  Tom Hennessy, Publisher of The Clinical Advisor, explains, “By maintaining our high editorial standards—verified by our monthly readership surveys—we have stayed #1 in Average Issue Readers and Average Page Exposures for the past seven years.”

Hennessy emphasized that NPs and PAs represent the fastest growing segment of healthcare professionals in the United States. Since the launch of The Clinical Advisor 18 years ago, the number of NPs and PAs in clinical practice has more than tripled, with an estimated 25,000 new NPs and PAs completing their academic and clinical training in 2013-2014. The Clinical Advisor has grown with the market along the way—and continues to evolve to meet the needs of this important professional audience.

MPR Sports a Bold New Look

New York, NY – June 18, 2013

MPR is excited to unveil a new logo and print design with its June 2013 edition. It’s all part of an ongoing effort to freshen the look and feel of the publication, trusted by healthcare practitioners for over 28 years.

Through a continuousevolution MPR has expanded upon its foundation as a concise drug information reference for prescribers and has grown to include an increasing array of clinical and practice management tools including a cloud-based e-Prescribing platform; distributable product resources such as coupons, patient education materials, and product information; product comparison tools; whitepapers; and much more. MPR’s goal is to be healthcare practitioners’ one-stop destination for their daily workflow needs.

To reflect our expanded mission, MPR sought to move away from being known as “Monthly” Prescribing Reference while maintaining the legacy of the MPR brand. “The digital era has increased the speed and breadth of information delivery and transformed the way in which we consume it,” said Tammy Chernin, RPh, Senior VP of the MPR franchise. “To thrive in these dynamic times, change is necessary.”

Following closely on the heels of the redesign of MPR website, www.eMPR.com, launched in late 2012, the newly unveiled MPR print edition has been lauded as “fresh, crisp, and clean,” “welcoming and user-friendly,” and “contemporary and sleek.”

To better align all the publications under the MPR banner, the publication has taken the further step of rebranding the Physician Assistants’ Prescribing Reference (PAPR) and Nurse Practitioners’ Prescribing Reference (NPPR) titles. Those editions will now be known as MPR Physician Assistants’ Edition and MPR Nurse Practitioners’ Edition when they are unveiled Fall 2013. This change reflects the publication’s goal to provide point-of-care resources in efficient and effective formats, all under the trusted MPR brand, to ensure a cohesive experience whether accessed in print, at www.eMPR.com, or through the MPR app.
